Chrysoskalitissa → Elafonisi → Kedrodasos

A full-day route built around three very different stops: a historic monastery, Crete’s famous lagoon landscape and a quieter wild-beach finish.

Suggested order

Keep the day simple.

The order below is designed to make the stops feel like one coherent outing instead of a checklist.

01

Chrysoskalitissa

Start with the cultural stop and coastal views before the beach crowds build.

02

Elafonisi

Give the famous lagoon the largest part of the day; arrive as early as practical in high season.

03

Kedrodasos

Add the wilder beach only if time, heat and energy still make sense; the final approach is on foot.

Practical notes

Before you leave.

  • Do not overload the day with extra stops just because they are nearby on the map.
  • Carry water and sun protection even if you plan to use beach facilities.
  • Respect protected dune and juniper areas and stay on sensible access paths.
  • Independent transport makes this three-stop sequence far easier to enjoy at your own pace.
